Dr. Gabrielle Boyd is a native of rural North Louisiana where she grew up watching her parents practice Optometry. As a second generation eye doctor, she is passionate about eye care. Whether it be obtaining the perfect contact lens fit or treating advanced disease, Dr. Boyd understands that the eyes are our windows to the world. Giving her patients their best vision is what drives her.
Dr. Boyd attended Louisiana Tech University graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. During her undergraduate studies, she enjoyed playing intramural sports, cheering on the Bulldogs, and volunteering with her Kappa Delta sisters.
Upon graduation, Dr. Boyd continued her education at the University of Houston College of Optometry where she completed specialty rotations in post-operative care and retinal disease. She was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, an international optometric honor society, and SVOSH (Student International Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity). She completed externship rotations at private practices in both West Monroe and Ruston where she became proficient in multiple laser procedures (SLT, Yag capsulotomy, LPI), specialty contact lens fits, and multifactorial disease management.
Dr. Boyd, licensed in both Mississippi and Louisiana, prides herself in being relatable, easy to talk to, and progressive. She, along with Williamson Eye Center, utilize the industry’s top technology in diagnosing and following each patient.
Although Dr. Boyd adores practicing Optometry, her favorite job is being Mama to her two children, Brooks and Posey Belle, and wife to her husband, Cody. As new residents of South Louisiana, Dr. Boyd and her family are loving the culture, people, and all-around affability that emanates from the area.
Aside from eye care, Dr. Boyd enjoys snow skiing, riding her Sea-Doos, snorkeling, family vacations, and Crossfit.
