Custom Lens Replacement is a procedure that will help reduce your dependency on reading glasses and correct presbyopia, a common eye condition. Presbyopia develops during middle age when the natural lens of the eye loses flexibility, thus making the lens unable to accommodate long distances. The Custom Lens Replacement procedure is not for everyone, so if you are unsure about your eligibility, please take this free self-test to find out! Please schedule an appointment right away to talk about treatment options if you suspect you might have presbyopia.

While undergoing cataract surgery, your natural lens will be replaced with a new intraocular lens (IOL); depending on which one you select, it could lead to your best vision yet! Some of the lenses we offer include

  • Light Adjustable Lens
  • PanOptix
  • Tecnis Symfony
  • TECNIS Multifocal
  • TORIC
  • And Visian ICL

For more information on advanced lens options, please schedule an appointment with Williamson Eye Center today!

Keratoconus, or KC, is an eye condition in which the cornea begins to weaken. The weakened state of the cornea causes it to change into a cone-type of shape, resulting in visual impairments.

Even though there is no cure for keratoconus, there are ways to slow its progression. However, the most effective way to prevent keratoconus is to get regular eye exams. When treated early, the treatments are much more effective in preserving your vision.

Macular Degeneration occurs when the macula begins to deteriorate due to aging. There are two types of AMD: wet and dry. We cannot cure Dry Macular Degeneration, but we can slow it down with a series of treatments. On the other hand, wet macular degeneration is much rarer than dry AMD and can also be treated if detected early. However, wet AMD leads to much more rapid vision loss when compared with dry AMD. Whenever you experience sudden vision loss, contact a medical professional immediately.

For all of your optical needs, we offer an extensive selection in our optical department. We have optical locations in Zachary, Denham Springs, and Baton Rouge.
